GeoVector Corporation“GeoVector” ) provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of www.geovector.com (the “Site” ), and the GeoVector World Surfer Software Application for mobile devices (the “Application” ), together, “the Service”. This Privacy Policy applies only to information that you provide to us through the Service. Our Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time, and we will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site and within the Application.

Information Collection and Use

Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve the Service and administer inquiries.

  • In the course of using the Service, you may provide us with personally identifiable information. This refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify you ( “Personal Information” ). The Personal Information that we collect from you depends on how you want to experience and interact with the Service. We will collect your name, email address and telephone number if you wish to submit inquires about becoming one of our developer partners through the Site. We will collect your name and email address if you wish to register for customer support. We will collect your name and email address if you wish to receive our company newsletter, marketing or promotional materials, company updates, Application updates, and/or product announcements. If you send us an email, we collect the content of the emails you send, which may include any other Personal Information you wish to provide to us.
  • The Personal Information that we collect is used to provide and improve our Service, to fulfill requests you may make, to facilitate discussions regarding the development of applications for mobile devices, to administer your use of the Service, to identify and correct problems you have with the Service, to enable users to enjoy and easily navigate the Service, to better understand your needs and interests, to personalize your experience, to provide Application updates and/or product announcements, and to provide you with further information and offers from us that we believe you may find useful or interesting. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such communications, please follow the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of the communications.   • When you visit the Site, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website ( “Log Data” ). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol ( “IP” ) address, browser type or the webpage you were visiting before you came to our Site, pages of our Site that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Site, access times and dates, and other statistics. We use this information to monitor and analyze use of the Site and for the Site’s technical administration, to increase our Site’s functionality and user-friendliness, and to better tailor it to our visitors’ needs. For example, some of this information is collected so that when you visit the Site again, it will recognize you and information appropriate to your interests. We do not treat Log Data as Personal Information or use it in association with other Personal Information, though we may aggregate, analyze and evaluate such information to provide you with a better experience, to improve the quality and value of the Site and to analyze and understand how our Site is used.
  • We may also collect aggregate usage information from users of the Application including, but not limited to: (i) frequency of use; (ii) time of use; (iii) location and direction of search; and (iv) webpages viewed through the Application browser. We only store, track and monitor general usage and not information specific to any user. We use this aggregate usage information to improve the Application, develop new products and offer advertising material to you.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Site and Application-related services (including but not limited to maintenance services, database management, web analytics, customer support services and improvement of the Site and Application’s features), and to assist us in analyzing how the Service is used. These third parties will only have access to aggregate usage information, and not any Personal Information, for the purposes of providing services to us and providing advertisements to our users.

GeoVector cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of GeoVector or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop any activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical, inappropriate or legally actionable. GeoVector may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy.

Developers

If you become one of our developer partners, you will be able to participate in an email forum that is operated and run by a third party, where you can exchange your thoughts and comments about the development of applications for mobile devices with other participants. This third party email forum will have its own privacy policy to govern its collection of personally identifiable information about you which may differ from this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to read the third party’s privacy policy to learn how it plans to use, share and secure your personally identifiable information. GeoVector does not exercise control over and is not responsible for the third party’s privacy practices.

Changing or Deleting Your Information

All users may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information provided to us by contacting us at contact us.

Security

GeoVector is very concerned with safeguarding your information. We employ reasonable measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access.

Our Policy Toward Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our files.
